This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. When you visit it, our web server records technically necessary information (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) in log files. We use it only to keep the website running and secure and delete it regularly. The website is operated on our server in Switzerland.

Data on your device

Without an account, everything you enter – your business details, customers, items and invoices – is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us. The app contains no advertising, no tracking and no analytics tools.

Camera, Face ID and fingerprint

The app uses the camera only to scan the code shown when you sign in to the web app; no images are stored or transmitted. If you protect the app with Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint, the check is done by your device’s operating system – we never receive biometric data. The app stores sign-in data encrypted on your device.

Optional account and sync

If you create an account to use WP-Invoicer on several devices or with your team, we process your name and email address, your password (stored only as a secure hash), the names of your signed-in devices, and the data you sync (business profile, logo, customers, items and invoices). We use this data solely to provide the sync service. All connections are encrypted (HTTPS).

Web app

The web app at mobile.wpinvoicer.ch/web uses the same account. Signing in requires your password and a confirmation in the app. We only set technically necessary cookies (sign-in session and security token); they are deleted when you sign out or after 12 hours at the latest. We record the browser type and IP address of each sign-in so that you can check it in the app.

Data of your customers

We process customer data you enter only on your behalf and only for the sync service. As the business, you are responsible for its lawful use.

Storage location and disclosure

The sync server is operated by us in Switzerland. We do not sell your data and do not pass it on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to or you instruct us to (see “Accounting connections”). When you share a PDF (e.g. by email), the app you choose processes it under its own terms.

Accounting connections

If your business connects WP-Invoicer to bexio or Abacus, invoices and the related customer data are transmitted to that system at your request, and the payment status is read back. The connection data (access tokens, client secrets) is stored encrypted on our server. bexio and Abacus process the data under their own terms; as the business, you are responsible for this transfer.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account & sync → Delete account); it is then removed from the server. Business accounts you share with other team members remain available to them. Backups are overwritten after 30 days at the latest. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app.

Delete your account

To delete your WP-Invoicer account and its data:

1. Open WP-Invoicer on your iPhone or Android device.
2. Tap Settings → Account & sync → Delete account and confirm with your password.

Your account, your device sign-ins and business accounts used only by you are deleted from the server immediately; they disappear from backups after 30 days at the latest. Business accounts you share with other team members remain available to them.

If you can no longer use the app, email us at invoicer@waterproof.li from your account’s email address and we will delete your account within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request information about your data, have it corrected or deleted, and receive your data in a common format. Please contact us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available in the app and at mobile.wpinvoicer.ch/privacy.
